Summary
Summary
Many see WWII as a result of WWI, and that the Treaty of Versailles, signed at the end of the Great War, prompted German aggressions. The resulting Holocaust is usually the first thing that comes to mind when "WWII" comes to mind, but there was also another front. The Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor also created a Pacific front to the war, in which United States sought to bring an end to the expanding Japanese empire in the Pacific Ocean. Eventually, it was a horrible and deathly event in Hiroshima and Nagasaki that ended the World War once and for all.

World War II is seen as one of the most deadliest wars in all of history. An overall 60 million people were killed, and these included civilians along with soldiers. World War II saw the emergence of horrible and brutal strategies that were seen as necessary to win. The Holocaust in Germany was not the only civilian attack. The Japanese invasions of China led to massacres and brutal treatment of civilians. Germany also bombed the city of London in rapid and multiple bombings, called the Blitz. Although the "evil" Axis powers committed these horrible deeds, the Allies were not completely innocent either. No one can forget the terrible American atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that took over 200,000 Japanese lives.
